Signed copies of the book 'The World of Tony Meeuwissen: A Life in Illustration and Graphic Art’ are still available to sale at Gallery 9.
Published by Nicholas Dawe, founder and Director of Folio Illustration & Animation Agency, this beautifully illustrated book contains the life’s work of an illustrious and internationally renowned artist.
Tony Meeuwissen has designed three sets of postage stamps for the Royal Mail, including the award-winning Christmas stamps of 1983.
He has illustrated covers for Radio Times, Penguin Books and The Sunday Times magazine, as well as designing and illustrating album covers and two award-winning children’s books.
Winner of seven national and international awards, he was made a Royal Designer for Industry in 2013 for his distinctive and innovative contribution to British illustration.
Meeuwissen’s work has been described as “playful, surreal” and “witty and mercurial”. Creative Review has commented: “The allure of Meeuwissen’s work, beyond its inimitable style and execution, lies in the traditional processes involved in its creation.”
He lives in Amberley, near Stroud, Gloucestershire, with his wife Marie.
Giclee prints, framed and unframed, are still available for sale here on our website, alongside signed copies of the book. You will find the catalogue of works further down this page.
